    Shedding...

Well, it it depends if he shed just before arriving at your place, and his age. Like you said, the younger they are the more often they will shed. Just MAKE sure the humidity levels are at 60% at the very least. Once he is ready to shed, humidity helps him get rid of the flaky scaly skin. There...

    Shedding...

Hey, Don't worry too much about it. The chameleon will shed! Just make sure all the requirements of its habitat (lightning, humidity, etc.) are met, and that Tarzan is eating and drinking daily. As your cham grows, it will shed its scaly skin. ;)

I had not seen a red tail hawk near my house for over 5 years. They are more commonly found/seen about 6 to 10 miles east...

    Licking branches

Licking the branches as they take a step is totally normal. Some chameleons do it more than others. There are many theories about why they do it; some think it is a way for them to mark their territory, others think is a way for them to 'taste' or 'sense' another chameleon in the territory, and...

New panther chameleon. Anyone think they know locality?

Congrats! Congratulations on your new chameleon. To me he looks like he could be an ambilobe... about 4-6 months old (just by the colors he starting to show). your picture does not give a size reference that could help make a more accurate guess.

Boy or girl ? Just want to be sure

I know there are a few senior members here that can give you their vote. Just know that even with their expertise, they can be wrong because your baby is still very young. He (my vote) is a handsome little one.

Boy or girl ? Just want to be sure

That chameleon is tiny! It is hard to tell for sure at that age.
