Thanks Jannb for the caresheet. Ive been searching for a good baby care sheet. I already have a temp gun ( I keep cornsnakes).
So Im halfway there. I am getting a reptisun bulb today but should I get the 5 or the 10, I would think the 10 would be better?.. I also have calcium with d3 dust(I use...
I know I was on here way back with plans to get one but life got in the way. Anyway I am finally in a position to get one. I have a 24x24x48 reptibreeze. However Im pretty sure he will be way to small for it at first and dont feel comfortable putting him in it yet. I am going get a tub and...
Are they similiar in care? I am going to do some more research but really like the Jacksons and might go with that instead of a veiled. Which are the hardier animal?
Thanks everyone. I have a reptibreeze in my garage that is 48 tall by 24x24, it was given to me in a trade but needs some repair on one panel.I can use that for a baby while I work on the big cage. I am thinking I might buy the marine epoxy. its expensive and cures to a non toxic waterproof...
I figured I would have to do some rebuild. The top is solid wood with a round cutout with screen for the CHE but the light fixture fits tight. I was thinking of using a basking in that with a flourescent tube uvb fixture inside fixed to the ceiling of the cage(covered in screening for...
I recently moved and have to rehome my snake as the landlord said no large snakes. But he doesnt care about lizards.I have a really nice enclosure that is 48long x 36 high x 2 ft wide. Its all wood with a lexan sliding doors. I want to make it into a veiled cham cage.

Okay, Im not sure what vitamins would be destroyed in the dehydration process but Im sure some would just like freezing.
I will mess about and see what I can make and add in some kelp and alfalfa powder too.
I live out in the country and I just cant get collards or kale or any green other...
Because I have a hard time with the fresh stuff. If I make a big pile of dehydrated kale, sweet potato, bell peppers, dandelion, etc and grind it all up into powder and just take out a tablespoon or so and rehydrate for the crickets is this good gutload?
Thats what scares me.Its mostly a ambilobe tamatave cross but has a total of 5 different things in it. So I have to assume its been crossed more then once....As a first cham. the last thing I want is a weak animal. Then Ill never know if its my husbandry or a bad animal if something happens.
I...
Perfect weather here in Kansas, 80 degrees.I took the dogs out for a long hike and saw quite a few frogs.I can hear the spring peepers from my porch too, I love that sound.
Supposed to get some thunderstorms midweek.
I hope there isnt mutants or health problems from crosses.Im getting a Ambilobe/Tamatave cross from a reputable breeder.I would hope if there were some question as to the babies being less then perfect they would let the buyers know.
I wish I had done just a tad more research, I wouldnt have...
I decided to just order 500 crickets instead of a thousand.I got quarter inch, I hope those wont be too big.I get the cham baby on Thursday.
The bigger crickets can be fed off to the beardie and leo my son has so I will scrounge out the smallest ones.I also ordered mini mealies.
I wonder if sprouted seeds like wheat and buckwheat and such would be a good gutload for crickets along with veggies and greens? I feed sprouts to my conure because its supposed to be super nutritious.
Also how do you make your gutload? do you chop this stuff up daily or make a weeks worth...
