Mort was a gem at the vet. He weighed in at about 105g, and didn't offer to bite the vet at all, bless his little reptilian heart. Dr Sweet and I agreed to treat the pins and see if the rest falls into place, thinking the parasites may have overpopulated because of the stress.
To my relief, Mort let me dose him twice, and may be a very good patient in general, though he's avoiding looking me in the eye ever since. He flees to behind his pothos if I spend too much time near his cage. But he did decide that medium superworms hanging off his cage, a la the tongue montage that Dez posted in the video competition, were sufficiently tempting to make him stay on his branch while I was around. No droppings since Wed, so we're still waiting to see if it changes.
Shayna did a massive color change in mid Feb, and upon being xrayed, it was determined that she had infertile eggs. Now the waiting begins. She took to the new food quickly, and obviously likes silkworms and superworms a lot. I never expected the silkies to be soooo silky. Shayna looked a bit silly with a wisp of silk flying from her mouth.
