A Tribute to Padre

My family and I are devastated by the sudden death of our handsome parsonii Parde. He was the sweetest boy and ever so gentle. He was the most laid back chameleon ever. I have a tribute of photos and videos to honor his memory. He will live on in our hearts forever.

Jann I dnot know what to say I am so very sorry for your loss. Padre sure is the man and will be missed by anyone who had the oppurtunity to see or know him.

Jann thank you for shearing all those great pics he is still and always will be the first parsonii I have just fell in love with and made me get my boy and strive to care and treat my boy as good as you do .... Oh Jann, I am so so sorry for your loss. You are such a fantastic mom to all your chams and I know Padre passed, happy and satisfied, without a want in the world. He is busy frolicking with all your other chams (and, hopefully, with my Kukui) up across the rainbow bridge.

He was Awesome. I hope you get fertile eggs from Hera and have success with them, that would be terriffic. I hope you get to a point that you want to get another male, I think you should. Your attention to detail lends itself to keeping Parsonii.

Jann i'm so sorry to hear this bad new on the same day as i am suffering a loss of my own. Padre was truly a one of a kind and he will be greatly missed by all.

My heart goes out to you Jann. Your life has been such a rollercoaster of hope and sadness lately. I hope things smooth out for you. I know how much pain you are in, but remember how much you are loved by all your family and four legged children. You have given all you could. Now you need to let go and leave it in Gods hands, The whole forum is here to support you and mourn the loss of Parde with you.

A beautiful tribute to a beautiful chameleon. I never got tired of looking at his photos. You provided him a wonderful life Jann and he was lucky to have you as his owner. I am so sorry for you and your family and I hope time will help heal your pain. We are all going to miss him. RIP Padre. You were the king of the forum.

Padre was a huge part of the forums and I will miss hearing about him. I would like to place a poem I wrote for you and padre here as an official tribute. It's in the other thread too but it came from the heart abd my heart goes out to you and your family at this devastating time.

Now Padre walks into the light,
having had his final fight,
mourn not the sight of his pretty face,
because now he's in his resting place,
no more suffering no more pain,
just basking in the sun and drinking the rain,
in chameleon heaven he now stays,
knowing you love him still in so many ways.

Rest in peace big guy, you are truly loved and sadly missed xxx

what caused the hole in padres mound?

Jann. I don't know what to say. When I lost Greeny the Veiled the entire family cried for days. We went to the mountain to handpick his grave. Once in a while we return to put a flower paddle on his grave.

They grow on you more than any other pet I had. Your Padre was one of a kind. I feel your pain and agony. You are an outstanding Cham keeper and a great and gentle person. May he rest in peace.

I am relatively new to this forum, at least from a posting standpoint but I had enjoyed reading about Padre off and on, but had never seen or sought out any pictures of him. I was following along on the thread where he wasn't well and was keeping my fingers crossed for a happy outcome. Having seen the pictures of him now, and your obvious LOVE for him, I am sitting here with tears rolling down my face feeling the devastation that can't even compare to what you and your family are experiencing now. Padre has to be the single most beautiful creature I have EVER seen. I am simply stunned. You did good Jann, and Padre couldn't have been luckier to have you as him Mom. Take care and know I am inspired by you as a Cham Mom and by Padre, an wonderfully excellent example of his species.

Now, I need to go blow my nose and stem my tears....
