Yemen hole digging

Quick question, I looked in today and my Yemen cham who has been gravid with eggs for a few weeks, was digging a hole.

The question is how long do they generally spend digging and is this because she is definitely going to lay? I'm expecting when I get home tonight that she will have layed all the eggs, they will only have been in there for about 6 hours so do I have to worry about which way they are up?

Thanks!

It can take up to a couple of days.
Just leave her alone to do her work;)
She will place them correctly and it won't matter that they are buried there for a few hours.
To answer your question, it will be very important to place them in the incubation medium in the same position she deposited them. ie: don't turn or invert them.
