Myself and 7 other likeminded Islanders have formed a brand new society on the Isle of Wight - Wight Reptile & Amphibian Society (WRAS for short). The closest society to us is in Portsmouth which is at least an hour away including a boat journey. The Island has nothing at all like this and tomorrow we are holding our first event at a local large pet store who have invited us in to put on a display to the public! We are all really excited and desperate for the society to be a huge success. We have had hoodies made with the WRAS logo on the front and our names on the back and the local newspaper are coming along to do a piece on us and take photos! We are all massively excited about this, and this event will be followed by our first official society meeting on Wednesday evening!
