Would you trust someone who has not had any experience with reptiles with your cham for 5 days?

I think it depends on the chameleon, the amount of automation you have and how trustworthy you deem the person to be in general. 5 days is not very long.
An adult veiled or panther could easily withstand 5 days of even fairly bad treatment but a younger animal or one of the smaller breeds require more responsible care. If you have your lights on a timer and an automated mister, you reduce the responsibility to "just make sure everything is working, call me if something's not". An adult veiled or panther could go 5 days without being fed, but it's not that tricky to set up a couple of deli cups with crickets for easy feeding.
If you work with this person and train them they should be fine. My petsitter had never had a reptile and I worked with her and now three years later she knows more than some of the members on this forums.![]()
I would leave.a schedule and tell them u will give em an extra $20.if they look good n healthy when u get back also have a back up sitter just in case.
LOL 'case they run away form the roaches? xD
But yeah I made a schedule and got a neighbor who wants her kid to have a cool experience.
With a teacher like you, I am not at all surprised. If you work with this person and train them they should be fine. My petsitter had never had a reptile and I worked with her and now three years later she knows more than some of the members on this forums.![]()
