So I was going to build Hermes' (I finally named him!) cage next month, and I've been looking at a few different designs. Looks and functionality are what I'm aiming for. Which would fit the bill better, wood or metal frames?
If the wood is not treated correctly it will rot in a couple years from all of the moisture in a chams inclosure. Metal may rust, i think the best bet would be going with plastic pvc pipe. hope this helps.
Wood IMO, but don't use treated lumber. Unless you are soaking the entire enclosure it should hold up for quite a while. Do a search for enclosures and you'll get plently of ideas.
