Willy, showing off in the nice weather.

Willy is a wild caught import from Feb. 2016. This really speaks to this species hardiness. His tail is nipped and his horns got mangled during the import process, but he is a productive member of my breeding colony! Check out his blue belly. @jajeanpierre.

@bobcochran He's really pretty except for his mangled horns.

Did you see the picture of the little tiny baby I got from the May, 2016, import? He was less than 5g (4.4g to be exact) and managed to survive. At that size, I did not expect all the damage to his horn numbs. Here's a couple of pictures of him--his horns and about four months after import. It is really sad because he would have had really nice horns with a nice spread. I'm hoping they will continue to grow and look like horns instead of just this ugly mass on the end of his nose.

@jajeanpierre Don't count on the horns ever being close to normal. Nubby was imported @ 20g. and his horns are still a mess 2 years later. I think the nose rubs at such a young age must deform the horn buds somehow. At 4g. one wouldn't think there would be any horn showing at all.

His face is pretty ugly with a big whack of horns that are too short and thick right to the end. If you look at his baby picture, you can see that the bud seems to have been completely removed for his front left horn. The second set look pretty normal. I am happy there is a spread between the first and second pair--I really don't like it when the four horns all point the same way. His face is really ugly with his horns looking like a great big fat shovel on the end of his face. He's breeding size now, so that is not the reason. I have a gracilior that had a face rub too. Was just 6g at import and he took FOREVER to grow his horns. They are finally coming in normal with just the tip basically missing and rounded. The gracilior picture is the last, taken late January. He is over a year old in that picture, maybe even a year and a half. Both of these boys took forever to even start to show any horn growth.

Yeah, here's Nubby after I'd had him for a month or so. No horns at all! When they finally started to grow it looks like the first and second pair are fused. Second pic is what they look like now.

wow. Nubby looks great. I knew he'd look good when he was at Bill's but didn't know he'd look that good.
Hey Ralph,
This is actually a different Nubby. This guy was sent to me as a female, but he was so nice and healthy I kept him anyway and got another female. Willy is from Bill though, wonder where that name came from?
So, how's the parson's farming going? Big bug bill? Had to put the kids all in one room yet to make room? Come on, lets see some pics!

Lol. I don't post pics much you know that. I figure Laurie's boy is hers and she'll have the fun of posting those soon. I don't want to take that fun away from her. As for my female, nothing to post really.

And Atlas hates photos.
