Will Rescue Any Male Panthers

If anyone ever has to get rid of their panther cham, I have two empty cages ready for them. I will not pay for any adoption fees. But I will pay for overnight shipping. Just send me a PM.

Ever since I lost my veiled earlier in the spring, I've been wanting a new cham. Don't worry, I've been a member on here for quite some time and have more than what I need to care for a helathy cham. The reason I lost my veiled is because of a malfunction in my outdoor cage that let him escape. I fixed it since then and am still looking for my cham everyday. Thanks and I hope no one needs to give up their chams. But if you do, I'll care for them.

Usually rescue is a way of helping someone and the animals needing a home, NOT a way to get free chameleons. I'm sure everyone has a list of what they want to have but why mask it with the wrods "rescue" and "adoption".

I think I'll go to the broker and ask if there are any multimillion dollar properties that have no less than 10 acres and greenhouses and a barn and low taxes and I'll be happy to take on any that people just don't have time for but they can't offer me anything having less than I asked for.

A ridiculous, uncaring approach to get free chameleons. Shameful!!!!

Ive got a 10-11 month old vieled chameleon that I can no longer care for, not a panther but if your intrested. He had early stages of mbd when growing up and is back to good health. He eats fine, drinks, poops healthy, strong grip.

But you'll take just Male Panthers?

I would prefer a male because I have no experience with female chams. I would feel uncomfortable caring for a female because of the egg laying and all. Especially if it was a rescue cham because most of them usually have health problems to begin with. But, I could go with any breed as long as it's not a Parsonii...lol

I think your blowing this waaayyy out of proportion. I requested for a male panther for the following reasons:
1) I have no experience with female chams and would be too nervous to deal with the egg laying. Especially with a rescued cham that might have health problems already. A rescued female cham should go to someone with more experience than me.
2) I would prefer a panther because my cages are kept in my garage and the humidity is usually high in there because of the washer and dryer. It never falls bellow 75-80% with my misting machine on. Perfect for a panther. Plus Veilds are really mean. I've been bitten one too many times from my last Veild and I'd really like a change of breeds.

A couple of thoughts:
sttines-people rescue dogs all the time. Would you have shamed him the same way? It is not a matter of wanting something for free, but hopefully a way of providing something a good home that needs one. I wouldn't want to pay for something that potentially was going to cost me some vet bills either.

Anyone keeping anything in a garage just scares me unless they have a garage free of cars, lawn mowers, any type of paint or fumes, bleach, and intense heat. If you HAVE to keep something in a garage than why have it?
Also, my male Veiled is a teddy bear, and my Panthers are mostly meaner than anything-it really depends on the individual animal.

Yeah I was going to say that about the garage, I wouldn't recommend it. Unless Its strictly for your chams. Seems like its not since you mentioned you had your washer in there.

The washer is way on the other side of the room. We never park any cars or keep anything toxic in the garage besides laundry stuff. I use the garage as a place to workout. There is wrestling matts and weight training equipment. So I keep the garage spot clean so nobody gets any diseases. When I work out, I cover the front of the cages with a sheet so my chams don't get stressed out from seeing so much action.
The cages reach all the way to the ceiling with live plants, reptisun 10.0 bulbs, 2 basking spots (lights all on timers), pro-mist automated mister, 3 thermometers in each level, 2 hydrometers, drainage, Humidifier, live basking branches and that is plenty of space for a full grown cham to thrive. They live outside all summer as long as the temps are right. I feed them Dubia, Superworms, Phoenex worms, silkworms (staple), Hornworms, and Crickets (Staple)(All Gutloaded). Trust me, there is no expense to what I provide to my chams and I could easily purchase one if I wanted to. But I've been reading too many sad stories of people that can't care for their chams. Especially with the credit crisis and foreclosures around here.
I know how these situations can come up. My house was foreclosed on last year and I got kicked out on short notice. So I offered my Veiled for free to a good home.(See for yourself: https://www.chameleonforums.com/free-veiled-6183/) Now that I have a steady job, smaller house and tons of free time, I want to return the favor to someone going through the same thing. I would feel really quilty for buying a new cham right now. If you think I'm trying to con someone into getting a free cham, your wrong. Just trust that the cham will be well taken care of.
