Will fruit flies bother my chameleon?

Hello, so there are definitely some fruit flies living in my veiled's cage, in the plants and I will see a few flying around. I have set up traps outside his cage hoping to get rid of them. So this morning there was one just sitting on my guy's head. Fruit flies don't bite, do they? Will they bother him? He does not seem to mind them, but want to make sure they can not harm him. Thanks!

No, the gnats won't bother your cham but they may bother YOU! Once the gnats infest the potting soil they will just continue to increase. The only real solution is to toss the soil and repot.

Thank you both. He has his own room so as long as they won't harm him I think I will deal with it for now. Repotting is going to be a massive event... Three pots and one is huge. May try to hold off till spring if possible... Thanks

I see one or 2 here and there my cham eats them lol im like really dude all I feed you and you wanna eat that tiny thing? Ok sure dude go crazy
