Why you need a large food processor

if you're trying to hand grate vegetables for anything larger than a single bin of roaches, you really need to invest in at least a medium grade food processor with a couple of different blade types. For the harder vegetables, you will need a slicing blade not just a chopping blade. The following acorn squash only covered one dubia bin and one red runner bin for a single evening as an example of how much you need to process every single day.

I use a burr grinder now for dry gutload and then just chop my veggies, it's surprising how easily roaches devour hard veggies. I've put watermelon rinds in my bins before. Completely devoured in 4 hours.
