why is he trying to throw up (vomit)

pokey keeps trying to throw up hes done it a total of 4 times, that i have seen, in the last 2 months. his culture came back clean as well as his fecal. what could be going on? please help.

If he does it during or right after eating something it's possible he is trying to dislodge a feeder stuck sideways in his throat. How old is he? Are your feeders a bit too big? Try offering more small sized insects rather than fewer large ones.

I agree that it could be a feeder too, though it would be really helpful if you elaborated a bit more. For example 4 times in a month is not necessarily a lot.

What type of cham do you have?
Age?
Feeders and sizes?

Is he just gaping, or does he thrash his head around trying to dislodge something? Has he ever vomited anything?

Besides these events, does he eat well and without problems.

What are your water sources? Mister or dripper and how often do these go off?
