Who likes spiders?

Good job Brad! Looks like you found it! I was searching for awhile for south african spiders and couldn't find it haha

The only credit I can take is for going to the spider forums.
I searched forever with no luck as well.

I have a few vivs with poison dart frogs in them and I keep their fruit flies in a closet that has a spider in every corner waiting for an escapee. I don't mind them as long as they stay in the corners and don't get too big.

i DON'T MIND spiders/arachnids in my home, its when they are crawling up my leg is when i turn into a panzy....

not my favorite thing but hey they are needed, i don't think spider posted in OP 1st post is a wolf spider.....

incredible as it may be , if that was in my house, id have to relocate it.

*not with fire*

Wow...What a gorgeous Spider. They do give me the Heebeegeebees, but you have to respect their beauty. The scariest thing I would think about having one of those in your home, I think would be, according to the link Brad posted, thier ability to hunt and kill lizards like Geckos... or maybe a cham!?!?

Thanks For Sharing!

yeah, i thought the same thing when i read... "lizard eating spider"! that thing is huge!!

Most definitely a respectable looking creature but man do i hate spiders!:eek:

I dont know bugs but mmy first thought is that this spider could of been a rain spider.
And we have been having alot of rain lately which has brought quite a few wierd bugs.
But kids in my old school would find rain spiders and actualy keep them because they are quite tame but I wasent quite sure what it was so I didnt mess with it.

Now this spider would give me the heebeegeebees and would probally take a cham!

Panthercham, I really dont appreciate that post:eek: Like the spider before was not big enough:confused: I dont mind small spiders but DAMN!!! The pic of the one was big enough to give me the creeps yet you decide to post one the size of bullfrog. I think someone needs to call the EMS, I am having a freaking heart attack over hear:rolleyes: Really though, WOW, they are magnificent but if I ran across one you would hear me scream like a little girl and being in a metal band I am supposed to be tough hahaha. Where does that thing come from, South America?

Relax!

You are safe unless you are going to Australia...we breed them big

Mind you...the thought of a big, tough musician screaming like a little girl would be funny to see...I promise not to post any other creepy crawlies that will give everyone bad dreams :D

holy camole. so my uncle wasnt lying when he said there was this giant spider the size of a dinner plate in his tree. there was a LARGE web, but i thought it was just a group of spiders. WOW =/

I just watched the newer version of King Kong last night... And I can't help it but all these huge freaking spiders remind me of the Giant bugs that were attacking the people in the movie while they were on the Island. You thought they were just making it up.

Nature never ceases to amaze. Some of it seems almost like it was dreamed up by Hollywood.
