wow he looks awesome! You should dust your feeders calcium without d3 daily. From what I've learned you dust your chameleon with d3 only 2 times a month. If i am wrong I'm sure someone more experienced will correct me =]

Hello you both and welcome to the forum :) the chameleon looks veery very good
This is correct for powders. a multivitamin once or twice a month is usual as well. you have to check the labels and see how much D3 is there.
For lots of details there is what is called a sticky thread where it is the best infromation

thank you so besides gutloading I dont need to provide him with any other supplements right? the bottle reptocal includes calcium and vitamin d3 http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...0PUYGeDaq00AHsvoDYAw&ved=0CGUQ9QEwBA&dur=1271

also how old do you think he is? because he isnt supposed to be full body shedding so often......but this is his second shed at the moment in about 2 weeks(full body shed).. and if hes 15 months old thats to often no?

D3 is good! its the vitamin the sun gives out. some people will go 1 day a week with out it but if its an indoor guy you can go every day using D3. ive been giving mine Repashy calcium plus because 2 different breeders said thats all they use and swear by it and my guy is healthy and doing fine! i wouldnt worry about D3, seriously try the repashy calcium plus you will enjoy it and ur cham to, its flavored!

Do not talk when you do not know please. D3 can be dangerous if there is too much.
This does not say how much concentration of D3 is in that powder http://www.reptilesupply.com/product.php?products_id=279

Normally people use a plain calcium which has no D3 for every day.
The one with D3 is for 2 times per month only.
If lots of time outside then maybe use D3 powder less.

The sun does not give out D3. It gives out light and heat. so much of this post is wrong. please be more careful with your own cham and with giving advice. you shouldread the sticky and really try to understand. it is difficult but you are just trusting people and you have maybe misunderstood them. i think repashy calcium plus is quite low D3 so do not be too worried but still be thinking about giving less if outside

I personally would NOT use d3 everyday, I do calcium w/out d3 daily and calcium with d3 1 day a week but ive heard other members only use d3 1-2 times per month. but like all things everyone has different opinions...but you have a very beautiful panther...

very well said Jane I definatly agree with you on that post being false and misleading to new or unsure members.

thank you everyone for the input... i will probably just use calcium w.o D3 every day or other day and once a month of D3.... also this is his second shed in 2 weeks can someone tell me why? I believe he is about 15 months old. Can someone also predict the age for me? thank you all very much:D

I just use Repti-cal plain calcium, Repashy C+ once a week, and a multivitamine once a month.
Depends on what I am using as feeders and gutloading.

Age is a guess. He is an adult :). 15 months is very believeable. He has been well looked after. Where did you get him from?

Thats why you use a good supplement with not so much D3 dont say i dont know what im talkin about, ive talked to a few breeders who ONLY use repashy calcium plus and one of them said they tested it for 4 years before they even sold or promoted it soooo pretty sure i know what im talking about. using d3 everyday is ok it just depends on the brand
