Where to Start?

I am thinking of getting some Pygmys but i really dont know much about them or where to start.
What exactly do i need for these guys?

Size of viv?
Substrate?
Temps?
Lamps?

i cant really find anything that tells me step by step how to get the setup right.

any help would be great

Pygmies are one thing that should not vary much as far as keeping set-up here in the states or overseas.

I will look into getting the setup and doing a bit more research on them.
What is the layer of hydroton and charcoal for?

Drainage-since you will be misting into the tank a few times daily.

arr ok then, do you need some sort of pump to take the water out or is it small amounts that will drip through?

If you make sure the tank dries pretty well between mistings, the water will not build up.
