Where to look for Housing?

I'm looking to rent a 3-4 bedroom house or condo in the L.A area but have no clue on where to look. I looked at craigslist and it's a joke in the home section just a bunch of spam for rent to own crap. Anyone else have any ideas? I rather deal with a private owner instead of a management company also.

Westside rentals is a joke I used the 6 years ago when looking for a place and was taking through loops with every rental I wanted to look at. "price was listed wrong" or "It rented last month"

Jenkins I currently rent from and I'm trying to get away from them nothing but problems and they don't keep stuff updated.

other then looking thru the daily breeze, or driving up and down streets I'm not sure of other rental places. I was by the galleria the other day, between Artesia and Grant, on the West side of Inglewood ave, on like Vanderbilt theres lots of townhomes/condos up for lease.

real estate agent here in L.A = Buying a home. If I could I would but I can't buy a home.

Realtors also have listings for lease and rentals. I have mls access and there is tons of rentals posted.
