Are you building 1 enclosure for all 4?I'm planning on building a enclosure for 4 chameleons thats bigger then the enclosures that u can buy. I was wondering what you're thoughts are about glass or plastic walls instead of the normal screen for the enclosure to help with humidity
Depends on the humidity levels of your location and what type of chameleons you will be keeping. Just have to ask though...are you planning on keeping all 4 chams in the same enclosure?I'm planning on building a enclosure for 4 chameleons thats bigger then the enclosures that u can buy. Yeah still planning it out I have to figure out what I'm building it out ofThe plastic or glass walls is fine as long as the top and maybe the front is screen for ventilation. Gotta be cautious though cause it'll raise humidity having solid sides. You'll prob be better off using a plastic type wall if you can get it to allow for blocking the view between each chameleon enclosure.
If you can get some PVC board like the dragon strand enclosures use that could work for the walls. Their hybrid cages are covered on 3 sides by it.Yeah still planning it out I have to figure out what I'm building it out of
I was thinking about putting a little fan above for ventingThe plastic or glass walls is fine as long as the top and maybe the front is screen for ventilation. Yea gotta be careful with fans blowing directly in. I think the object is to have it blow gently across the top to pull the air out. I believe on chameleon academy's website strand talks about it.I was thinking about putting a little fan above for venting
I have a glass exo terra it has a screen top and vents across the front i have a small fan on the top blowing straight up pulling air out it works really good for meYea gotta be careful with fans blowing directly in. Also In the picture u can see it looks like the front doors are screen but they are glass i attached screen mesh to the inside of the doors to stop him from seeing his reflectionI have a glass exo terra it has a screen top and vents across the front i have a small fan on the top blowing straight up pulling air out it works really good for meView attachment 275360
Idk how to explain what I was thinking aboutYea gotta be careful with fans blowing directly in. I think the object is to have it blow gently across the top to pull the air out. I believe on chameleon academy's website strand talks about it.
That's something that didn't even enter my mindAlso In the picture u can see it looks like the front doors are screen but they are glass i attached screen mesh to the inside of the doors to stop him from seeing his reflection
The main reason I'm doing it is I have a air conditioner so it just destroys the humidity and if I don't use it my room gets extremely hotI'm planning on building a enclosure for 4 chameleons thats bigger then the enclosures that u can buy.
