What's the next best chameleon to get

Having parsons, now for my second time, I have to say, they are impressive in size and potential longevity, but other than those items, it's the exuberant price tag and rarity, with one driving the other, that attract the most people. They aren't very interactive, aren't terribly different than other chameleons in habit, and overall aren't nearly as "fun" as melleri, in my opinion. I would not suggest a melleri for you, as even the uber rare CBB melleri are a challenge to raise without fault. A panther, jacksons, carpet, or perhaps a CBB meru or quadricornis. I don't know what your keeping parameters are like or whether you own a mister, but for montanes, you should have a mist system for certain.

I think Parsons are gorgeous :p. The price and rarity ect are off putting though. I was thinking of getting a couple of O'shaughnessy's. Learning Parson care with them and then one day jumping on to Parsonii :).

I am not positive but I assume they have similar care, as they are both calumma, and from the same part of the world.

450 each is a lot easier to swallow than 1500+, plus the smaller cages (y), with all the parson beauty (well some of it).

I must admit I am wanting to do a Mellers pair as well however.

I'm on the panther band wagon. Just pick your favorite and your set. Ambilobis by far have the biggest range of color but if your looking for a more specific look there's plenty of locales to choose from.
Carpet chameleons are extremely beautiful too but they have rather short life spans.
But there's plenty other species out there.
Pick your poison!!
