2 part post:

situation:

Well, last week I ordered a smll starter setup from www.Chameleonsonly.com
My paypal payment went through at that time on the 23rd.

Other than my reciept from Paypal I haven't gotten any confirmation of my order, I've e-mailed Chameleonsonly.com at the address listed on their website several times asking for a confirmation, I tried calling and was not able to get through, and wasn't able to until yesterday late afternoon and left a message on their voicemail. Been calling a couple times a day trying to get though without success. Also, tried e-mailing from different address, tried e-mailing the one on their site, tried the e-mail on the payapal receipt.

1) Is this Normal for Kammerflage Kreations? Should I just wait patiently assuming my package will arrive in the mail eventually? I live in the next city over so it shouldn't take that long for shipping....
Maybe someone else has experience with this site/vender... cause I'm frustrated and not sure what to do.

2) I've put down a deposit for my 3-month old Amilobe Panther,
Assuming I do get the Small 14 item setup, what else will I be needing off the bat (besides plants and food of course)- First time Cham owner.

Everyone here on the forums has always been great! Thanks!

If its your first time. Perhaps try caring for a different cham species first. Then move to caring for another.

Relax, they will come through. Some of us are better at responding to emails and calls than others. Good luck with your new chameleon.

I order lots of stuff on line and some places are just SLOW. You will also need UBV light (tube), basking light, gutload for your feeders, and your 3 supplements; calcium without D3, calcium with D3 and Multivitamins. You will need a way to mist, a drip cup and a way to check the temperature and humidity. You will also need vines and branches to go in the cage.

A method of hydration. In the form of a hand mister or a small drip system. More foilage mean more places for water droplet to cling = more opportunity for the little guy to drink. Winter months can be very dry in the inland empire, so that's why I think humidity/hydration are key with a young panther. But not too wet, that things mold. Let dry out between misting, and mop/pour out any standing water.

i think a panther is a good beginner cham they are hardy and grow fast if givin the proper care ambilobe is a great choice the only down side is the price they are more exspensive than a veiled but just as easy to care for

Liddy called and left a voicemail yesterday, she was apologetic, and my order is on it's way! Thanks

Need to go pick up a room humidifier.
I plan on using a hand mister and a Zoo Med's Little dripper at first,
I plan on later doing a custom enclosure with an automatic misting system - but that will be over the next few months.

I also plan on getting alot of plants. Thanks for the constructive feedback, good post :)

Be sure to find you a local vet that's familiar with chameleons. You don't want to wait til there's a problem.
