Just s I knew the difference I looked up gracefuls and they have spots and have more of a swoop crown (both like yours.) senegals don't :) hope that helped sorry to blow up the thread

:p\ i\ bet\ karmachameleon\ could\ tell\ you\ if\ its\ a\ senagal.\ personally\ i\ have\ no\ idea\ im\ not\ good\ with\ telling\ the\ chameleo\ group\ apart\ other\ than\ veileds.:D

It is not a Senegal Chameleon (Chamaeleo senegalensis) as it has occipital lobes (ear flaps). I'm inclined to say female Graceful Chameleon (Chamaeleo gracilis) but the larger oribital and dorsal crests are indicative of some localities of FlapNeck Chameleon (Chamaeleo dilepis). A few clear pix of the head and dorsum could enable us to definitively say for sure.

In this thread it clearly shows the specimen having ear flaps. Senegal Chameleons do not have ear flaps: https://www.chameleonforums.com/i-just-got-chameleon-i-have-some-questons-78362/

On the other hand, both Graceful and FlapNeck Chameleons have occipital lobes.

Trace when will some of these people learn you can determine species in your sleep?

NEVER argue with her on species, you will lose 100 percent of the time. That is a guarantee . My buddy know her chams, I am trying to learn from her as the ret of you should be.

I got it from some guy off of craigs list I ask him lot of times what kind she is and he never answers me I'm not sure what she is but I feel mabe she's a seg becouse she tents to get spots of green or black and the one pic I got from him she was bright yellow but when you guy said grace full I was thinking that's what the heading was but I just though it ment grace full lol but she drink a lot and hardly eats so ether she's a seg or not use to her new home yet ? But thanks for all your inputting :)

There is absolutely no question that your chameleon is a Graceful Chameleon (Chamaeleo gracilis). Anyone who has any knowledge of identifying chameleons would never mix a Senegal Chameleon (Chamaeleo senegalensis) with either a Graceful Chameleon (Chamaeleo gracilis) or Flap-necked Chameleon (Chamaeleo dilepis). The distinguishing characteristics between the C. senegalensis and these other two species are unmistakable. C. senegalensis has no occipital lobes and C. dilepis has larger occipital lobes and a more convex casque than C. gracilis.

I think this is a good example, however, of why there should be a forum for identifying species and why that forum should have strictly enforced rules about how people trying to make an identification should reply.

Anyone who suggested you have a Senegal chameleon based on the photos you posted has no idea how to ID these chameleons and should never have publicly posted their thoughts without justification of their ID. All they've done is confused you when there is nothing to be confused about. You have a Graceful Chameleon (Chamaeleo gracilis)!

I'm going with Graceful. I consulted my Cham bible a.k.a Natures Hidden Jewels by Petr Necas.

Here are some Graceful pictures from it....
