what can I use to cover the sides of my chameleons terrarium?

I am making a terrarium for my veiled. I will be using an eco terra 18x36x36 glass cage. I want something to cover three of the sides that plants can grow on. I was thinking tree fern panel, but its soooo expensive. I also really don't want to use the great stuff and eco earth trick. Any advice?

I like using pieces of cork and applying it to the sides with silicon. Epiphytes grow well adhered to it and you can also use the hollows to plant in. It is the fastest solution for a complete cover. You will still want to apply eco earth or a substrate similar to the areas with excess silicon or where the cork won't meet perfectly.

So, in that case, I have a problem with my old male jackson. In the last couple of months he has decided that he wants to climb his screen walls. Needless to say, his nails are shaved to the nub. Would it be cool to put him in glass? It sounds wrong just saying it but you live and learn.

My veiled did that a lot too. He actually lost a couple of his nails :/. Doesnt seem to affect him much though. You could use a glass cage but be careful with temps getting too high for them in glass cages, and make sure it is in a well ventilated room. Other than that, make sure they have plenty of things to climb on. The cage I use is exo terra, but zoo med has a cage just big enough for a jacksons thats definetly cheaper. You can also look at protean cages.

Totally second what jpowell has said and method used- that's exactly what I've done - works well- this is actually a dart frog viv but you get the idea with the broms etc

Naked version-

Or cover sides with coco fibre cloth- people use it to line hanging baskets and bought by the metre. stick on with silicone too.

I agree, you need a well ventilated room in order to use a glass cage that doesn't have screen on one side and on the top. Otherwise you have heat gradient problems. Exo terra's work well as a terrarium for glass because they have the extra ventilation, however the misting needs to for shorter periods, I would think, and you would need to make drainage somehow.

I use clay balls seperated by a weed blocker. I have to be careful to not let the water level pass the dranage line though or I end up with a swamp.
