What are these?

I dont know what KIND they are, but when I use to work w/ wild baby birds, I was told a rule of thumb, if it bright or has "hair" - DO NOT FEED IT - the "hairs" can be very irritating to the mouth, and can even kill baby birds- I would not feed it, but thats just me- I have been told " if they are out and find it , they would eat it" - but my thought on that is... YES, maybe, but we are in OHIO - not the native lands - these are not the same bugs they would find "in the wild"
just my thoughts on it :)
