what age for veiled or panther ??

im getting a chameleon,new to chameleons but not herps, what age should i get baby ? sub adult,juv ? thanks guys

Well it depends.
Adults will already have their colors in, so you cant watch them color up (especially panthers)
juvis are good, but again, not as much fun when they are mostly colored.
babies- great, can watch colors come in, but may need specialized care.

NTM with babies an juvis, you will need to upgrade cage size, bug size, etc. etc.
but you have abetter chance of bonding (sorta bonding anyway)
 
I got my chameleon at around 4 month of age. He was able to go in an adult size cage at this age and find his food with no problem, and was still young enough to not be set in his ways and this gave me the chance to work with him on handling. He is a super friendly chameleon and will let anyone handle him. It is part how you interact with them and partly luck of the draw so to speak as far as their personality.
