Some day soon I want to have a Panther but I have little clue in what varity to have. Any suggestions of which type to go for?

There is a guy in the uk waiting on eggs to hatch at the moment. He will have ambilobe, picasso, joffraville, sirama, and nose fally all ready to hatch. I have no idea what to go for apart from the price tag lol

I am already a happy owner of cool and extreamly friendly Yemen so I'm continuesly getting the expereince of meeting his care needs.

Really is just a personal preference on paint job... Which one do you like the look of more? Since this is your first panther I might consider going for the less expencive one to try your hand at keep F. Pardalis... Then start spending big bucks on the rare ones. You wont be able to stop once you start. :)

Depends on where you want to go with it i think.

If you just want it for yourself, just pick the most appealing one to you, I doubt there is any difference in locales when it comes to temperament or personality, they are all just individuals it seems, so whichever one you feel the most comfortable with and is most eye appealing to you when going to check them out is probably the one you should buy.

On the other hand..

Panthers chameleons are usually pricier than most other species, so if you were looking to breed them, spending more on the rare prized locales such as Oorana Mena, or Nosy Mitsio would probably be more beneficial to you if you wanted to try and turn a profit.

hope you find the one for you!

btw: im super happy with my Ambilobe Blue Bar Panther :)

I love that Joe! "Personal preference on paint job"! :)

LMAo, me too.

I've had my liitle Blue bar Ambiloble about 4 weeks now, he's only about 10-12weeks old. I also didn't know what to go for but after a long, long while, I decided on the Ambilobe, due to looking through hundreds of pics, in general I like the "Paint job" of this local. The thing is with this one you have no idea how he's gonna turn out. I got mine from Lee at Millinium reptiles in Bishops stortford, he comes highly recommended in the UK. All his Locale were the same price apart from Ankaramy. He doesn't have any nosey ready at the mo. Where are you thinking of getting one from if you don't mind me asking?

Hi, is that Lee Warren's Panthers where you got your from? if so then i will have to check him out as he has his at a faire price. The one's i have been looking at are on Gatwick Reptiles, he seems to have some very nice range of Panthers, I esp like the sirama, Joffraville and Ankify in which he plans on hatching.

Hi Stu, yep that's Lee Warren where I got my little man from. He does sell a few other reps like boa's and beardie dragons, but he specialises in panthers and breeds all his own stock. He normally doesn't sell them until 3 months +. I can personally reccommend him. I'm not sure about Gatwick reptiles, I think they've recently gone into panthers but I have no personnel experience of them. I took my reccomendation to go to Lee, therefore I would only offer you the same. Let us know how ya get on

Hi Phil, I'm in a small Town called Leiston, half way between Ipswich and Lowestoft. I know E.Harling as I also keep Malawi Cichlid tropical fish, so I've been to swallow aquatics near you. What a small world, us talking on a US forum, how bizzare lol!

Sure is but this furom seems to be the best out there for info on chams? let us know when you in town and we could meet up. I would like to check out your panthers (no pun intended lol)

hey thort i would let u kno i have nose mitsio, ambilobe blue, picasso, sirama and ambanja all hatched out.

i have dealt with both of these companies, i credit Lee for his great husbandry and shop front location, i personaly preffer the chameleons at gatwick reptiles, Daryl has made a huge effort to source locales and colourful panthers that are extremely hard if not impossible to find in the Uk, you cant go far wrong with either of these breeders.
