so last week i got my first cham a "fischers cham". he is a healthy male who im pretty sure was wild caught. anyway i was looking to getting a female in about a year if i can keep him healthy. id like to get a CB because of the health problems that come from WC just wondering what a CB female west usambara two-horned chameleon is going for these days??:)

thanks guys,

Seeko is the only seller of 2 horns that are captive at the moment. they are not fishers chameleons, a fishers chameleon is different from the west usambara 2 horn, and you dont always have problems with WC chameleons, i had a male that was WC and would come to your hand, very doctile, the guy that has him now said he is the tamest chameleon he has ever saw.

Yeah, there are plenty of good WC available -- the question is knowing what a good one is. Request pics from the seller and then send the pics to me. I will let you know.

As for CB I have a waiting list going right now for babies that hatched about 1-2 months ago. They are looking awesome. Price will probably be around $100 but if you want a specific sex (female) it may change depending on how many turn out to be female and how many other members want females. Supply and demand! I always keep 2 or 3 females and 1-2 males and the whole clutch was only 11 animals so...

My currently available females are $200 - $300 but they are breeding age.

Thanks for the recommendation jrh!

Hey I searched your threads and found your website. Your male is pretty nice looking, you should certainly breed him. PM me anytime with questions.

thanks he is getting alot tamer but he still hates it when i mist his cage. i mean he dont hiss or anything he just goes to the bottom really fast. i dont mist on him alot i try to get all the leafs ands stuff. he only will get on my hand if i put it on top the umbrella plant. than he will come out with no problems but he seems to not like me doing anything in his cage if hes no thier i had him on one hand and when i put my other hand in the cage he started hissing so i put him back. ok thats steep i guess ill try for a good wild caught female next summer. im also looking to get a pair of pgymies. my room is becomeing a complete zoo. frogs, fish, anoles, chameleon, and bugs. lol btw guys how big of crickets do you feed an adult? cuz lllreptile said they shipped the ones he likes but they are all HUGE so i bn giving him wild caught stuff along with a mealworm(only 2 a week).

http://thezillaman.webs.com <pics are thier i know their is not enough plants...but those photos were taken before i added live plants. :D

With the spraying try putting hot water in the spray bottle. And you will never get him completely tame so don't try too hard or he will hate you. The trick to taming is food.

From my experience a WC chameleon will never turn down a fat moth, so try that if your having feeding problems.

Hey, $100 is really not too steep for CB. I mean, what did u pay for your WC?
Also, the zoo thing is what I used to do but now I find it way more rewarding to focus on just one species and get huge results and success instead of dabbling a bit in everything. In other words just save up and get a CB female from me when u are ready ;)

Just want to add my thoughts. A w/c male is a lot lest less of a gamble than getting a w/c female. Females can have eggs issues at an early age, and can have a major lack of calicumn. I would pay the money and get an excellent c/b female rather than a w/c that will most likely cost more that the c/b due to the vet bills. jmo

This is a good point. I would always get CB if you can. I have a pair and hope someday I have babies but Seeco really has some awesome chameleons and I would recommend getting a female from him. I got lucky stumbling on my pair but I don't think I'd want to get a WC knowing I could get a quality CB.

I hope more people can appreciate how awesome these little guys (and girls) are - and maybe they will get more popular. They are sweet and curious little buggers.

Hey thanks for the support I just want to mention that the reason my supply has been so low that I lost two clutches due to incubator failure and so I had a big gap in my production. The next few months will be busier though.

I'd agree, Seeco is definitely the best! Herbie is doing amazing and is the friendlist chameleon I could ever imagine but is still such a little stud.

The best way to go is not WC. To be completely honest, if you have plans for breeding and thinking $100 is too much then you'll be way over your head if you'd breed. You want to start with the best to breed for the best, even if you don't breed you want a healthy cham that will live a long life. CB is the best way to go and Seeco is the best to work with. JMO
