Wax worms

My male Jackson has been going nuts for only wax worms. I'm offering him crickets, house flies, mealworms, calcium worms/flies and small hornworms....nothing. Only wax worms. They are soooo fatty and not good for a daily diet but I cannot starve him. What else can I try? I will order whatever to see if he'll eat it. I live in fl so roaches are illegal. I was thinking mantis ? But he is a lil guy still (3 inches nose to vent)

Edit-I'm really dumb and put this in the health clinic....

So don't give in to him. Give him what I know is better for him? He will eat eventually?

Locusts are illegal in the United States.

What juju said. You gotta show him that that's his only option for food, and he will learn. He is testing you to see if you will give in to what he wants.

How old is he? Don't feed for few days, 3,4.. It depends how old your Cham is and when you'll give him food try again lucusts or crickets.. He'll be fine without food for few days.. Think about it: in the wild they might not get that lucky to catch something every day!;-)

You can use discoid roaches, they aren't illegal. You can buy them at some reptile stores. Dubia roaches are illegal and I have read that there have been prosecutions and steep fines.

That's awesome. Thank you I'm going to hop on that ASAP . Know about the Dubia thing which is insane but I suppose it's understandable
