ruffly money wise how much does it cost to properly kit out a panther chameleons cage?

Depends what you buy, but roughly, for everything you need, at least £300 initially for a basic setup (cage, lighting, supplements, plants, equipment etc). Even then, it can cost a lot more! I've just spent £120 this week as my mega ray died and I needed a new holder as I've gone up to the 160w version plus I also ordered the stuff to make my own mister.

Man, I wish cages were that cheap in the UK! Hell, I wish all of it was that cheap here! Literally everything you've listed you may as well just switch the $ for £ and you'd be almost spot on! Probably cost even more than you've got listed! :(

Wow, that is a total shame to hear. At least you gave reptileman a good heads up, I would have had no idea.

Here is hoping to better distribution in the UK. :)

I think it's because the reptile world over here just isn't as large as yours is! It's understandable seeing as the UK is tiny! I'm always on this forum as there isn't a solely chameleon forum in the UK! If you're lucky you get a subsection, but even then there are only like 10 amazing keepers to learn off and they're normally busy! :(

At least we still somehow get mega ray bulbs cheaper than you guys! :D Only just, but it all counts! :D

You just have to ask around! graeme is definitely the person to ask though! You may want to get on an english forum to ask around. Captive bred forum and RFUK are pretty good for finding breeders!
