pOST A PICK OF THE CHAM...ITS EASIER FOR US TOO DETERMINE IF THE CHAM LOOKS OKAY OR HAS A PROBLEM...

IF THE CHAM LOOKS AND ACTS OKAY WITH NOTHING STRANGE GOING ON IN A FEW DAYS THEN THE CHAM WILL BE FINE...:)

no the water was very clean
she looks normal just a little wet
it just happened so idk
im more worried about just the temperature factor
her head was clearly out of the water

I would worry about her aspirating water  I would keep a real close eye on her and if she shows any signs of illness I would take her to the vet.

Oh and I would also cover the container with screen

Then just dry the cham..maybe use a basking lamp to give heat...but other than that...everything should be okay:d

post pics of your cham:d either in this thread or a new one:d

Huh that sounds like a Scooby doo mystery.

You could do a round of Reptaid, since its all natural it wouldn't hurt.

thank you this is what Google has to say ha

What are the signs and symptoms of aspiration pneumonia?

Sometimes it may take a few days for symptoms of aspiration pneumonia to begin. The signs and symptoms of aspiration pneumonia can get worse very quickly. The signs and symptoms that you have may depend on what you inhaled into your lungs, and how much was inhaled. Common signs and symptoms may include one or more of the following:

Frequent coughing. Your cough may bring up bad-smelling mucus from your lungs. This phlegm (flem) may have pus or streaks of blood in it. You may also cough up frothy (bubbly) fluid from your lungs.

Shortness of breath or noisy breathing. Your heartbeat or breathing (while resting) may seem much faster than normal.

Fever or chills. You may sweat a lot.

Chest pain when you cough or take a deep breath.

Trouble swallowing, or you feel like something is stuck in your throat.

Feeling dizzy, faint, or having new trouble thinking (confusion). You may feel upset or anxious.

Feeling like you cannot get enough air. Your skin, lips, or fingernails may turn dusky or blue.

Yea too bad our chameleons can't tell us how they feel:eek:, that's why observing and knowing your animal is important ;)

Like I mentioned I would watch her very closely

If she is 'normal' colors and seems to be doing her normal routine I wouldn't freak out about it. Being cold for a day and then being able to warm up the next day is just fine for them.

Ideally we want to keep the chams warm during the day and cool them down a bit at night... it's good for them. but in the real world it isn't sunny ALL day EVERY day... nature has a funny way of weeding out the weak by throwing curve balls to the world.

Just watch her for a day or two and then report back. I think she'll be OK.
