A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.... I was an editor. Some things still jump out at me, but now I make as many/more mistakes as anyone else.smh I take grammar class and I still don’t have grammar lol
Plants never are/were food for veileds.Well…. Umm…. So if you choke then it’s not food anymore lol if deer can do it so can chameleons
Veiled Chameleons are insectivores/carnivores and do not need fruits, vegetables, or leaves for their health. They get the necessary nutrition through the insects and the sweets fruits could actually cause issues internally.

My veiled never eats plants…. I don’t and won’t put plants and fruits and vegetables for him specifically to eat bc they are insectivores but Veileds still chomp on plants and I’m pretty sure scientists haven’t found out why yetA long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.... I was an editor. Somethings still jump out at me, but now I make as many/more mistakes as anyone else.
Plants never are/were food for veileds.
"Some people have tried using artificial plants so that their veileds don't/won't eat them, but wenowdis is fallacious."—Dr. Wayne Wenowdis
^^^^ This..... We do not know why Veileds eat plants. All the theories are just that because it has not been studied.I’m pretty sure scientists haven’t found out why yet
I really wonder why maybe plants have a special mineral or vitamin they don’t get in the wild and it’s in there DNA to eat it to get the vitamin^^^^ This..... We do not know why Veileds eat plants. All the theories are just that because it has not been studied.
This very well may be true but we just don’t know.I really wonder why maybe plants have a special mineral or vitamin they don’t get in the wild and it’s in there DNA to eat it to get the vitamin
Yup so many things about the world is unknown it’s so crazy I’m pretty sure space is more explored than the ocean I thinkThis very well may be true but we just don’t know.
I did not know that! Hmmm that makes it even more mysteriousSide note... most of the time veiled chameleons in the wild are seen eating vegetation that is not alive, so likely not for nutrients or moisture.

Just an educated guess that is as very wrong
Then it’s likely just for ruffage but we may never know.Side note... most of the time veiled chameleons in the wild are seen eating vegetation that is not alive, so likely not for nutrients or moisture.

Nope, seriously doubt if its related to eating the plant. It is not very clear. But where that is looks like the area was shedding...@Beman @MissSkittles
What do y'all think about the brown mark photo? Do you think it's related to eating that plant?
My theory is that they do it because we spend lots of money on really nice plants for them and they enjoy our pain so they eat them.^^^^ This..... We do not know why Veileds eat plants. All the theories are just that because it has not been studied.
Yes. She has had it for months nowNope, seriously doubt if its related to eating the plant. It is not very clear. But where that is looks like the area was shedding...
