Hey all,

My Mr Goggles recently had a prolapse, there's a long story to this but basically the vets that treated this didn't do such a good job nor give me correct information about it, I changed vets, go proper medication for him and its swollen, he takes 3 different medicines daily and he's on a 5 course injection he takes at the vets like every 3 days. But basically my question is im going away from a week very soon and was wondering does anyone have any idea's on what I could buy that will allow me to take him with me??

he's also completely stopped eating, he isn't eating at all so the vet have given me a food mix I can feed him which he takes quite easily, including his medication. But yeh my main question is does anyone have any idea's what I can buy that will allow me to take him with me as I don't want to leave him here, because as harsh as it sounds I only trust myself to look after him correctly and responsibly with also making sure his taking his medicines...

So yeh any idea's guy and gals? will be very much appreciated

Thank you!!

P.S. If anyone is interested in the full story of Mr Goggles let me know and Ill feel free to share with you his long story of his prolapse :p

You mean some sort of carrier? What about a small bird cage?

Kind of more like a travel cage something that's easy to assemble/ disassemble because I want to take him with me away for a week so also reckon I should take both my lighting as well? basking light and UVB?

He's got his last course of injection this Thursday and also a check up on his progress so I'm going to ask them then about it all, Only problem is its a proper high professional vets and I'm worried its going to cost me an arm and a leg for him to be boarded there for a week :/ he's already cost me roughly over £250 the little monkey! lol

the only thing with the laundry hamper is that its a good idea, but what about his lighting? and stuff since its going to be for a week, and I don't want to keep him a week without his lighting/humidity things :p

How will you be traveling? Will you need something for the airlines? If not lots of folks transport by car using some type of laundry hamper and a branch or two. I am not sure what is available to you in the UK but you could get a tallish hard plastic laundry hamper and secure some branches in it. Maybe make some type of wood frame with screening over it for the top and put the lights and mister in that way. You could even cut out the bottom and cover that with screen for drainage. They also make this lamp stand to hold dome lights http://www.amazon.com/Repti-Lamp-Stand-20-100-Gal/dp/B001F95ZYG/ref=pd_sbs_petsupplies_11.
I guess it depends on your budget too. You could get a small reptibreeze that could suffice for short term. http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Repti...8&qid=1388495262&sr=1-4&keywords=repti+breeze
Hope this gives you some ideas. I know what you mean about taking him with you. I may be going to the beach again this fall and am trying to think of a way to take my guys with me!

I live in the UK and I'm only travelling still within the UK I'm not going abroad but I will be away from home for a week staying with a friend for a few days then going to see some of my family, the 1st journey will be a 5 hour journey to get to my friends and then after that to see family 3 hour then few days after 2 hours. But yeh so far I'm thinking of getting maybe a small reptibreeze for him as like a travelling cage, hmmm decisions decisions...

you reckon he will be ok for a week though not in his well.. home as it were?

The reptibreeze is an awesome choice for a travelling cage. It's sturdy and accommodates the lights and humidity equipment very well. I whole heartedly agree with this as a suggestion and would use it myself for a travel cage. :)

Yeh does seem like a very good idea but also as well like I've just posted on another Thread its also time for an upgrade of his cage as well, so its a choice of just getting a small reptibreeze for travelling and then get a large wooden viv for his main cage or get a large reptibreeze for his main cage and also use for travelling... so again more confusion :p

here's the thread so we don't go off-topic :)
