Walking sticks from Nick Barta

Just purchased some walking sticks from Nick Barta for my veileds and jacskon chameleons and they love it.
I try to mix up my food for them with crickets, hornworms, silkworms, dubias, waxworms, praying mantis' and butterworms and decided to try some walking sticks.
The walking sticks are the perfect size for my 4month old chams, about 3/4" in length. They are soft so easily digestible for them.
They move around(slowly mind you) so my chams love to stalk them when feeding.
Nick has awesome customer service and a great communicator. Sticks were packed in a styrofoam lined cardboard box with an ice pack.
He even threw in some banana roaches which my chams loved as well.

I will be purchasing more sticks from Nick soon!!

I agree, Nick has some great feeder insects and he is wonderful to work with!

As for gutloading. Walking sticks can't be gutloaded like crickets or dubia, their main diet is bramble and I believe raspberry bush as well.

Carl C here on the forums will be able to help you out more with their care and diet.

The food plant will depend on the species of phasmid. If you have access to raspberry most species in culture eat it. Ivy, Oak leaves, Romaine lettuce, and Rose are good choice's also. Once it gets cold out and everything loose's it leaves Romaine lettuce is the old stand by to get you through until spring.

If anyone wants care sheets on any feeders I have in the classifieds, email me at [email protected]. You don't have to buy bugs to get the care sheets;)

Carl,

Grasshoppers are laying eggs! Thanks for the help!

Nick

Great to hear the grasshoppers are mowing down the Romaine and Blackberry for you. Thanks for buying one of my Schistocerca care sheets.

Best Regards

If the smaller grasshoppers are a success, I will try to do the big boy Schistocerca!
Great care sheet.

CHEERS!

Bug man!

Just like everyone says ,Nick is the go to for all your bug needs. :DI've gotten multiple species of all his creepy crawlers. My animals have loved every last leg and wing. Even have been producing multiple colonies of his stuff and bunches of eggs from different buggers.:)
