Walker tackles a good-sized Silkie! Walker 1 Silkie 0 :D

Look at the belly on this dude! Also, look at his lil hand holding that worm down! Lol

He's so cute! His table manners are atrotious though, do you not teach these guys that it's rude to eat with your hands? :D

Lol! Both boys are growing up nicely! I was just so tickled when I saw Walker "holding" his worm this morn'n... :)

Thx, Rachelle! I'll be getting more from ya! ;)

***edit- Walker loves them. Fenix will eat them after eyeballing them for a minute.

I just had my next round of silkies hatch yesterday. Give them a week or so and I will have them ready.

Had all 1000 of my silkies hatch after assuming I may have killed off half of them by chucking them in the fridge to delay hatching until after our vacation... Ivy had better develop a taste for them.

Lol! Good luck! If all else fails, there's a high demand for them here! I'd start lining up a wait list, pronto!!

The only thing I hate about them is that it takes like 2 months to get the eggs to hatch after you take them out of the frig. I always think they aren't going to, but when you least expect it they do.

Really?? What if you never place them in the fridge?

I am going to try that with these next ones. Have some making cocoons now and with the first set of eggs we are going to see what happens if we don't refrigerate them first. I had just read that they needed the diapause cycle.

Mine only took a few weeks, but they were only in the fridge for a few weeks after they were shipped here. I was convinced I'd killed them all off, or Coastal Silks sent poppy seeds instead.
