Waking up chams

At night, have you ever walked by to check on your cham and accedently woke him up? I did to mine a few days ago.He puffed like crazy. What did yours do? Chameleons are so funny!:p
 
I've accidentally woken up my chameleon before. He did the same puffed up and fired up some crazy colors. Chameleons definitely don't like being woken up!
 
yup! it was so cute. but i felt bad. first few days i had her.her when i woke her up-

hmm... i'm gonna wake up kiwi and see how pissed she gets. little rat deserves it anyways lol
 
Mine never fire up, but they do look as if they want to tell me to turn the lights out again........
 
I play the same game every night I get off work..see how long it takes me to find Roo!


And sometimes when I do eventually find him he's sitting there already starin at me like " get the eff out of my face"
But he wakes me up in the morning so it's only fair.
 
Karma, my very first chameleon, used to wake up, stare at me and stick his head under a leaf or branch, as if to say "whatever, I'll sleep anyway."
 
My male Veiled opens his eyes and looks like he is saying, "What, never seen a sleeping cham before"? Then he goes back to sleep.

My female just stares and like always when she is in her cage looks like she is saying, "please don't kill me, please don't kill me"... She is so timid, it drives me nuts!
 
I just get the death glare from my baby... as if shes saying "Just wait till i can bite hard!" haha
 
Mine just look at me and are like daaaaad i was sleeping!!! I tries waking up my beloved pandora one time cause i let her sleep in her free range at nights now and she got dark jumped at me with her mouth open but she is fine so i let them wake themselves up on their own now and they are usualy early birds and are up before i turn on their lights
 
This is a super old thread lol I shall resurrect it for a moment😂. Now that I think of it I would be annoyed too, Chameleonaire is currently sleeping in a strange hanging position and I had to take a picture. After the second flash he didn’t get all flared up, but he developed black dots all over while he kept his eyes closed and after about 30 seconds his pajamas slowly came back. I’m sure he knew I was up to something and that’s his communication of “leave me alone bro”. lol I just wanna hear about anyone else’s experiences with annoying their Cham while trying to sleep.

I close the curtains at night so I can watch TV and give them privacy.

Although, when it was just Littlefoot I may have photo bombed her sleeping. She also went a bit dark then returned to bright green.

This has to do with their third eye (pineal eye) that helps them unconsciously perceive light.

I completely forgot about their pineal eye, so amazing that they have those lol. I have a tv in the room that my Cham is in and I don’t think it’s ever bothered him but I feel like I should get a cool curtain setup like yours.
