Waiting game

Hi i bred my chameleon (veiled) 3 weeks ago and this is her 4th week and she should be due (yea she could be just late) but yesterday she was just seeming to be interested in her snad box walking round it ans sitting in it the up and down her tree also she has some food yesterday which is funny cause they should go off their food. today the same but even more interested in the sand box no digging...... is she just late

The gestation is 21-28 days. Mine lay at 21-23 days on the mark-the only exception that I've ever had in regards to this was a female who had gotten impacted from eating sand and wasn't able to lay. I wouldn't get worried until after 30-35 days. And as long as she is still feeding, keep feeding her. If she is showing interest in the sand, I would strongly recommend getting a large 32 gallon plastic garbage can and filling it about 18-20" deep with sand, adding some foliage and a branch, placing her inside and offering her absolute privacy. If she is showing interest in the sand and is still in her normal cage, she will not start to dig if you are checking on her.

Ive had pardalis go 40 days and still lay normally without the help of oxytocin. Just make sure she stays extremely hydrated throughout the process. Hydration is very imp to keep them from getting into a weakened state.
