im takeing chloe to the vet to adress some issues (her eyes getting big than little/ somehwat shakey gait/mouth opening.) im suprised at all these syptoms and want to have her xrayed to see if she developing MBD or im giveing her to much. also i plan on haveing her mouth swabbed to look for an ri. her temps and humidity are where they should be but the one she had a while back may not have died all the way.

i'll update when i get this done :) chloe should be good soon.

thanks Jann :)

thanks! ^^ i most def will. i dont think its bad though bease she eats drinks basks ect fine. i just noticed when she sleeps her eyes getreally big and when she walks sometimes her hands shake. got it quick :)

Better safe than sorry. Rather waste the exam money, to have them go youre crazy, then not and find out it was something and nwo its too late to do anything.

i agree. i want to makle shure its MBD and not over supplamenting. im unsure how this happend beacuse i've been doing day on day off feedings with calcium. mabey putting to much/ not enough on.

i'll tell ya'll tonight ^^

It is so nice to see someone just step up to the plate and head for the vet. I always feel bad for chams when the owners spend a week on here before or if they take the cham to the vet.

You are being proactive and that is usually the best way to get any problems resolved. Good luck and do let us know.

In all honesty, I think its cheaper this way too.
People dont rush to the vet cuz they dont want to spend the money if they can fix it at home.
but if you let a problem get out of hand, it can cost more to correct the illness than it would have when you first noticed the signs.

I totally agree. That's what I take my guys for well check ups every 6 months just to try to keep them healthy and hopefully the vets can pick up on any upcoming problems.

im back :)

the vet hasnt given me anything for her yet beacuse he wasnt shure what to do. hes going to talk to specilists in order to get an idea of what to do. guessing its going to be bloodwork. he said her bones and ect look good, jaw isnt rubbery and doesnt think she has MBD, but again blood work will tell. she weezed in the office and i think hes going to put her on baytril for an RI. thought she had gotten over that but guess not.

mabey over supping? anywhos. he's calling me in the morning when he finds out how to test and than treat her. he aso said she may be to fat  she is pritty plump but im scared to cut bak her feeding when she isnt feeling good.

Well im glad its not mbd.
I hope the meds help and let us know what the vet says tomorrow.

poor chloe.

im know. im so upset beacuse i dont know whats wrong. :( it doesnt seem like shes hurting any because shes still doing everything normal. just her body is doing a few odd things. i hope the vets he contacts will offer some help. i'll post ya'll as this progresses.

Well at least it doesnt seem like shes suffering.
I hope she gets better for you. I always hate to watch my babies (chams and other pets) suffer and be unhappy. no matter how 'minor' the illness is.

i agree. it stresses me all to hell when my pets are sick. chloe and clair are like my daughters. thanks for your well wishing :)

ok the diagnostic is in! :

the vet says- warm her FR up and mist more often, also give more cal.

reasons- the mist and warmness will help her get over sickness, he doesnt want to put her on baytril unless he has to in order to aviod stress; however, if weezing doersnt go away he will give it to her. more cal to help with the other sypmtoms.

he wants me to keep an eye on her. if she doesnt get better to call him. he saw here yesterday and gatherd info + pics (like out how to ask for help excpt more detailed) and talked to a specilist.

does this sound right?
