hopefully :) and if not, maybe i could ask the vets that are too far away for me, and ask them if i could mail it, even if they had to meet linus once, i would be content..

Yea. The vet I called, said that I dont have to bring them in, and Ive never been there before.
Just said I had to bring in the poo, and fill out the new patient paperwork. said if they arent busy, it would only take like 15 20 minutes.

I would only have to bring them in if one of them tests positive.

That's the way it should be. I understand if the pet is sick and they can not give you medications without seeing the pet... But there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to do fecals. I have a vet that does fecals for $20. Something you might consider is learning to do fecals yourself and get your own microscope and supplies to do them. Its really not that hard at all.:)

I am considering it. esp now that by the end of this year i will have at least 5 chameleons. and 40 bucks a fecal adds up.

and I agree, if the animal is sick, you have to get it seen by a vet. but just doing a fecal, it shouldnt cost me an arm and a leg. Dont get me wrong, i was willing to pay it. but now i can do 4 fecals (doing my dog too) for 160 bucks, instead of having to do one lizard at a time cuz i cant afford to do 3 exams plus 3 fecals.

I mean i have savings for the vet bills, but thats ridiculuos.
