hi all i dont visit here often but find you guys a wealth of info when 1 of my veileds is ill. unfortunately we had to rush leon off to the vets yesterday he has lost LOADS of weight very rapidly and reluctant to eat or drink. he was given a vit shot and some fluids he is a very sick boy. jonathon (our amazing vet specializes in exotics) said he has lost all his subcutanious fat reserves and we have to rehydrate and if we get him through the next 48hours we can try taking some samples for lab testing we have no idea what has happened. he is being force fed critical care formula at the mo, before he got ill both our chams are fed exactly the same food, dusted, and sprayed and cami is doing fine (for those of you who have helped before she is our female who had the hysterecomy after a ruptured fallopian tube because she had too many eggs and couldnt pass them all and we got her back to full health
. we have just gone to give him his dose of critical care and noticed he had a poo but it didnt look good its is slimey undigested locust and it appears to have 2 small pinky red worms on it about 1cm long each they look flat like pheonix worms but he hasnt had any of those for around 2months. we are very worried about leon and are goin back to the vet jonathon tomorrow armed with fecal sample but in the mean time any ideas whats going on jonathons first priority was to get him hydrated and stronger (his grip isnt as good and he is very lethagric altho moving around he is not his usual self) we start the whats wrong process tomorrow.
