Very bad news!!!

I feel for u.....

I let my house get hot the other week, and lost my last Pygmy to the heat in my room.......forgot to turn the A/C on and went out all day.........now its running no matter if some1s here or not.

sorry to hear about that. Just to let you know the fridge is not too big. I got it couple of weeks ago and montoring the temp to see if the fridge is keeping it steady. I personally like this fridge tho

We are moving in a week and a half to a house with ac. The house we are in now don't have it. We are only 5 miles from the ocean, so they say we don't need it. BULL!

damn man, that sucks.

i can't imagine trying to keep eggs here in arizona, not sure what im going to do eventually.

I saw that it was small, but how many clutches will I have at one time? I'm not a large breeder.

Which fridge did you mean?

Sad news with montane species 72 is the max and not recommended they are a sensitive species with heat being the number one enemy of eggs and adults. Do you have an air conditioner or know someone who does? Sorry just read the air conditioner reply.

I'm talking about the fridge from thinkgeek. I can take some pictures of it when I get home. It's good for small breeder I would guess. This will be my first year breeding chams. You can fit 5 sandwich rubbermaid containers

only prob. I've found with the fridge is that the displayed temp. is off by about 6 deg. I have it set at 92 and my elect. temp gauge says its 86.2 deg. so make sure u get a real reading with a separate therm.

josh

sorry to hear this man I have been keeping my ac going throughout the day because it is getting to about 100 out here in Rancho San Diego. Going to really suck for my energy bill. This heat is such a drag, I hope the others make it strong.

Sorry to hear the bad news. That is very disappointing and I feel really bad for you.

Our temps got up to 106 on Sunday, 103 yesterday and it was hotter than hell today too. My greenhouse is awesome but something went wrong with the membrane in my RO making the misting system inoperable. So I was in a panic all afternoon trying to figure out the problem while hosing down the greenhouse and misting chameleons. I have a swamp cooler which works great.

I really like the mini fridge. The temps will not be perfectly steady and may fluctuate 5 or so degrees from what you set it at but it will be better than not having one at all. Keep it protected from the sun and away from warm areas and you will have a more steady temp range. Ever since I got mine, I have had much better success hatching out eggs.

Stay cool. I hope the rest of your quads make it out of their eggs ok.

What are you incubating at that temp?
