Veiled eating ficus

Should I remove it from the enclosure? Or give him other veggies? Any advice would be great, don't want him getting stomach trouble.

Try giving him straw berry's and kale your lucky though I been trying to get my veiled to eat veggies but he's being a brat about it.

In some cases eating the plant can mean dehydration. Veiled's will do it in Summer months when water is scarce.

I would try upping the watering/misting/dripping ect.

You also don't need to remove the plant, they are non-toxic. Being non-toxic is why they are so widely used by herpers.

I've heard the blood is an irritant which is why I was concerned, will definitely offer him some veggies, his urates are pure white and I see him drink from the dripper, I will be starting the dripper earlier though.

Don't quote me on this but I have always been told there is a good chance your cham will eat the foliage in its environment/enclosure but if the plant is on the approved plant list (which it is) then it is okay, as it is non-toxic. However, this rule may depend on the amount of plant your cham has ingested. And of course, if your cham has eaten ALOT of Ficus, then I would be curious as to WHY he's eating it.

I would just offer him lots of greens and other veggies. Veil's are known for eating vegetation. If he eats what you offer then your lucky cause it'll be easier to give him a healthy diet. Reveiw Sandrachameleon's blog for ideas.

I'm really excited and hope he does start to regularly eat fruits and veggies, I have fake vines in there right now but hes never attempted to eat them. I'm looking into getting real vines, was just wanting to be sure he isn't going to be sick. Hes taken a few bites but hasn't really torn off and chewed them. Perhaps it is due to him looking for water (although he is perfectly hydrated according to his urates) so in addition to offering fruits/veggies I'll be turning on his dripper earlier then normal.
