Veiled Diet

I'm getting a 4 to 5 month old male Veiled tomorrow. I'm planning on making his diet 50% crickets. What should I make the other half?

Look at Sandrachameleon's blog. She has several links for various feeder insects. Actually I think 50% is a little high for one particular staple. I think she recommends 40%. In addition to crix I feed my guys hornworms, silkworms, butter worms, and phoenix worms. I also have some wax worms to offer as a treat. I also have a colony of Dubia roaches and Turkistan roaches but have yet to successfully feed either of these to my chams. The beardie loves them. In addition to a varied diet the insects need to be gutloaded well and Sandrachameleon has lots of info about that too.
Pigglett79 has two blogs about raising hornworms and silkworms to adulthood so they can lay eggs and be self-sustaining. I was successful with silks but haven't tried horns yet. The other fun thing is that once the moths lay eggs you can feed those off to your chams as a treat.
Some people also offer mantids, walking sticks, snails and blue bottle flies. I have not tried them yet but want to, except for the mantids, I would feel bad feeding them off. I think they are cute (snails too)!
Veileds will also eat vegetation so having chameleon safe live plants in their enclosure can allow them to supplement their diets. Some folks even feed their veileds fruit like blueberries and raspberries. My Omar never really took to fruit but he will take a bite out of his leaves now and again.

And where can I get silk worms and stuff like that?

I got my silks from Mulberry farms and horns from Great Lakes Hornworms; I got my silkworm eggs from Coastal Silkworm, they ship eggs for free. I order my crickets from Ghann's cricket farms and my phoenix worms from rainbowmealworms on ebay. I got Dubias locally and the Turkistans from nyworms.com
You can check the classifieds on the forums as well as site sponsers to look for bugs.
