Never Had a chameleon before Any advice? ?They had no info on it when I got it. ?
Male / Female? Age?
Repti Breeze Chameleon Kit don't really think it was a good purchase?. Thoughts about it?

you could get some live plants for him to eat when it's not feeding time.
the chameleon looks pretty young if you can get some sticks from a tree that would make great climbing stuff.

crickets and horned worms make a great meal but I would rather give the horned worms as a treat. at least one worm per weak that what I do.

Hi and welcome! Most definitely check out the resources tab for proper husbandry. Chameleonacademy.com also has great info. It does look like you have a female. She will lay infertile eggs so you’ll eventually be needing to prepare a lay bin to keep in her enclosure. Of course, the forum is a great place to have your questions answered and make sure all of your husbandry is spot on.

1st off congrats on the new chameleon

3rd, unfortunately the chameleon kit doesn't include things that are essential for a chameleon staying healthy.

The biggest two changes that need to happen ASAP are getting the correct UVB lights (the one in the kit is not sufficient) and supplements .

This is a great intro to UVB and will help you know what UVB to get.

You'll also want to make sure you're gutloading the bugs before feeding them to your cham:




Her basking temp should be closer to 85F




Here is a video about watering your chameleon and hydration. You'll want to get a hygrometer to measure humidity:

• Watering - Repti rain. Every 3 hours. you can add a dripper that drips at the rate of one or two drips per second.
• Fecal Description - white with some black. Not tested.
