Veiled Chameleon

Just wondering what good temps and humidity to keep at for my veiled chameleon right now the temp is 83 with 51% humidity. the reason im asking is my chameleon is staying a darker color most of the time rather than being a lighter shade im wondering if something isnt right

Usually the darker colors mean his temps are to low try increasing it

Hi, Is your chameleon new? darker colors can mean he's stressed out. The ambient temperature of your cage should be about 75-80, while his basking spot should be 90-95 degrees (males) the basking spot for a female should be 85 degrees. Is his cage in a high traffic location? next to doors, windows, places where people walk by, air vents. Move him to a spot where there wont be so much activity. Make sure there is lots of foliage to hide in.

thanks for that the location of the cage was in a highly active spot people almost steady walking by it/ being near it and when i would come home after being out is when i would see him looking the coolest so i think your right. thanks again i now have him moved into my bedroom on top of my dresser where there is far less activity
