Veiled chameleon shedding

A week and a half ago I purchased a small veiled chameleon, she started to shed today and seems to be a dark green/brown color. Is this normal for them to change color whiles shedding or is she more so just stressed about her situation?

Changing Dark Colour when Shedding

My girl, Smeagol is new in my home, and has been shedding for the past few days, today her face is shedding .. the final process and she is not happy .. been dark green all day. I'm not sure if it means they are stressed, but I just wanted to tell you that it is happening with my cham too. Wish I could help her feel better .. she hides from me when I approach, but she is eating so that is reassuring. Hope yours is doing well too.

It's probably a combination of both but nothing to worry about. Shedding seems quite uncomfortable and can make them grouchy (some more than others). After she's done she should return to her normal colours quickly
