Veiled Chameleon, red bulde.

I have looked across the internet trying to find out what is wrong with my little guy. He is more than one year old, and has a red bulge sticking out of his anus. Its not big but the "opening is exposed with white liquid" at one point there was debris or dried poo on the outside. i was able to clean it off by applying cold water mixed with sugar (advice from another website) this took awhile and i was extra careful not to harm him. i do not believe it to be a prolapse. The picture i am submitting was before the cleaning.

That is a prolapse.

has it gone back inside?

if not, get some ky jelly on it, and you can gently try to push it back in.

If you cant do it, get to a vet asap.

if that dries out, then it will have to be removed.
(it appears to be his hemepene).

You can also try soaking him in shallow cool water with sugar mixed in (if it hasn't gone back in.) if it wont go back in, and stay back in, with some gentle massaging, put the KY on it and get him to the vet ASAP. He might need a stitch to keep it from coming back out.
