Veiled cham tongue problem

Guys i have a huge problem, today i fed my cham just as usual, then it happend she extened her tongue to catch a cricket from my hand and when she retracted her tongue she spit the cricket out almost as she was choking and then she kept her tongue out for about 2-3 seconds, then i tryed to feed her again and she can't use her tongue properly only from a very close distance, imo i think she springed some muscle there. My question is if any of you guys had some similar problems. thx in advance and excuse the bad grammar.

I have not had that experience, but i have done some research.

sometimes they can hyperextend the tongue, and it can be harder for them to retract it. which is what it sounds like your cham did.

if the tongue is back in her mouth now, it could take a few days to a week for it to heal enough for your cham to use it again.

if its not back in the mouth, you may need a vet visit.

That seems to be the problem, the tongue is back in it's place and she even used it a bit but not much, ok thank you for the answer, that took a load off my chest. Cheers.

I agree this is quite likely the problem - give it some time
and consider NOT hand feeding. I've heard many stories like this as a result of hand feeding (unintentionally causing harm)
