Veiled cham cage

I'm getting a new veiled in a few days and wondering if this is a good setup and is there anything I should do or change before I get him

• Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? ReptiSun 5.0 UVB, 100W ZooMed Basking Bulb
• What is your daily lighting schedule? don't have one yet lol
• Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? 65-90
• Lowest overnight temp? 65
• How do you measure these temps? 2 temp gauges
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? 50-80%
• How are you creating and maintaining these levels? Automatic Mister and Fogger
• What do you use to measure humidity? humidity/temp gauge
• Plants - Are you using live plants? 1 in the center
• If so, what kind? Dracaena I plan on adding an dwarf umbrella plant
• Placement - Where is your cage located? corner of room
• Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? no
• At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? 6 feet off the groud
• Location - Where are you geographically located? Virginia

Just to clarify...both your light bulbs will go into one fixture and both are CFL? The 100 watt ZooMed basking bulb may be too intense for a juvenile cham. I'd start with a lower watt bulb, maybe a 60. A regular GE halogen porch floodlight will work as well and cost a lot less though it would need its own fixture.

It is impressive to see that you are getting the enclosure prepared before you have an animal to care for. I would agree that a 100 watt bulb may be too intense. Measure the temp, it might be ok if it is hanging well above the cage. Good luck!

The 100w is a good 7 or 8 inches above the basking spot and the temp is right at 87-88 degrees

Im sorry i actually gave you wrong information its a 75W basking buld and a 0.5 UVB the 100W box was for my bearded dragon
