Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon 7 9 months old, have had him for a little over 4 months.
Handling - semi frequently (2/4 times a week) only time he turns green, usually comes on my hand on his own
Feeding - mostly crickets/Dubia roaches every other day occasional wax worms
Supplements - retical without d3 on all food, multivitamin with d3 twice a month
Watering - mistking goes of every two hours for one minute
Fecal Description - dark brown and medium sized, poops w/ mostly white urate fairly frequently (once every few days). Never tested for parasites.
Cage is 24x24x48 in. Moved him there last month. Cage has many live and artificial plants as well as many vines to climb around on
Lights: large uvb bulb (doesn't fit in dome properly), one reptiglo light, two other blue lights for heat and extra light.
Temps: ambient is around 70-80° and basking is low 90s
Problem: very dull coloration almost all of the day, nice and green at night but only turns greenish when being fed (which he really enjoys doing, thankfully). He has always been incredibly "friendly" for a cham, eating crickets out of my hand and often walking on to me. Recently I have seen him roaming around the cage and walking on its sides/floor which is concerning. I have also seen him grab his own legs occasionally and he has done this for the past 5 months. Any thoughts/advice?
