Hello my Cham seems to be scared of feeders when I try to feed him any advice

How are you feeding them to him? Are they of an appropriate size? What are you feeding him?

crickets wax worms super worms and going to try silk worms and butter worms free range them and cup feed him he just started doing this friday he is 7 to 9 mounths old

do cup feeding its the best way to keep tract of how much the cham is taking in....and also prevents him swalloing and dangerous substances......what are you using as feeders and all so how old is the veiled???

i wouldnt feed him wax worms ..unless he is very skinny to get him bulked up....and how is he acting when he see's thee feeders.... is he puffing up as if it was ur hand or is he running away??

Sorry, but I have to disagree, at least for most feeders. I really dont see why it is so hard to keep track of the number of feeders you put in a confined area (cage). I can see cup feeding waxworms, roaches and other insects that might not be able to climb or will just scurry under something quickly. An animal that hovers over a feeding cup all day waiting for its meal may become obese. Not to mention its not a very natural way for them to hunt. Keep them guessing whether they will be fed and guessing if there are any insects in the cage.

some guys/gales like to eat alone! my vieled will not eat from my hand or cup...he will run away or hide himself behind the limb like "you cant see me" LOL. i spoil him a little when it comes to supers,meals and wax worm feeding. i take the lid off the container they come in. count out how many i want to give, wedge the lid mid way up the cage(without distorting the rim..) between some vines or the cage and walk away. normally i will walk inside and watch him through the window. also with crickets he does better if i pinch the rear legs off. very easy to do just grab the cricket and take your finger nail and crush the inside of the knee and it falls right off. makes the cricket much slower and they cant jump!! just some stuff to try if you havent already.
