Bump??

That's fair, and good you recognize you're too uncomfortable to do it.

How was he today? Are you able to provide a picture tomorrow when his lights are back on?

Have you tried a superworm or any other treat bug to entice him?

Realistically, a healthy cham can go a few days without food... My Jackson goes on streaks where he refuses crickets, but pounces on the black soldier flies anytime...

Picky creatures. 🤔

So after yesterday, apparently my mom managed to get him to eat 2 crickets and I think he ate one today- He's been basking and drinking water. He's in his little hiding place right now- but I'll get a pic don't worry!

Superworms I'd love to use. Only issue is, I've tried introducing those and He just turns his head- but I'm learning maybe he's just being picky?? Like I said he flares up at hornworms now. Lately he's been eating crickets that are just left on his branch, not from hands, feeders or anything else-

And yeah! I knew that they could go for a while but the vet said that he was probably 5-6 months based on his weight and stuff. Correct me if I'm wrong, at a year old you do like 3-5 feeders every other day?

There's no real set age to start reducing their feeding, each cham is a bit different. It's more so when you notice that he's starting to gain weight and no longer growing. I've never had a panther cham myself; but the more experienced members here will be able to tell you when to start cutting back, if you ask them to look at pictures of him. 🙂

This is a good recent article on feeding: https://www.chameleons.info/l/myth-24-how-much-you-feed-depends-on-the-age-of-your-chameleon

He looks like he's doing well to me, but as I said I've never owned a panther. From the pictures I've seen; he looks like a healthy cham, his eyes aren't sinking, and he looks to be a healthy weight. He also looks alert and not lethargic.

Any poop today?

So shortly after that picture I did imfact find the smallest amount and then this morning a little bigger! So I'm taking this mornings to the vet because I think that'll be enough for testing

Asking something just real fast,

I recently just repotted my new plants for his enclosure(Pothos, Spider Plant, and Monstera). Jax is...eating dirt. We put stones on it to prevent that but he's still going down to look. Thankfully it has no fertilizer with the little green and white balls. However, I was reading, is this probably due to his lack of appetite or vitamins? I've been really trying to use his new vitamins.

Speaking of, can you like- syringe feed him vitamins(Calcium w/o d3 and Reptivite with d3) like with some water? Because he drinks water-

I will say that covering the soil with rocks is correct to address the issue of eating soil. I use smooth river stones on my lower pots, veileds are more prone to soil eating and mine seemed to have an interest in the lower pots around misting intervals.

And yes they’ll often do this behavior to try and address vitamin deficiency.

I cant speak to syringe feeding so I’ll let someone else cover that area.

I'm coming to update, Jax is shedding!
And I bought some discord roaches and he is loving them so much and eating out of our hands again.

So I think he's feeling better! As for the fecal test, I did bring what I had but they said it wasn't big enough? Or like solid enough? So now that he's eating a lot though he should have some solid stuff soon to turn in. I more so glad that he's just acting normal now.

I think one thing the vet said that maybe caused his very odd behavior before could've been a fall, therefore his bump. The bump I think too mightve been and injury so that'd explain why he didn't go up for about two days and then mix that with about to start shedding.
Anyway, I do appreciate all your help so far! I just had to let you all know!
